Over the past decade, the European market for heat pump heating systems has grown at a very fast pace, with over 1 million units sold annually in 2021. Daikin Europe plans to double the existing air-to-water heat pump capacity at its Belgium plant, open a new state-of-the-art production line for premium energy-efficient heat pumps and invest in a new plant for the first time in Poland. The European country has a large number of qualified workers and the efforts of the managers at Daikin Europe are after 2025 to create the possibility of producing 4 times more than the current volume, with the planned total investments until 2050. under the FUSION 25 program exceed 840 million euros. Daikin Altherma air-to-water heat pumps are a wide range of ecological and energy-efficient complete solutions for residential heating (most conveniently with a floor-pipe system and/or with heat pump convectors), for cooling, for domestic hot water and the possibility of using renewable sources of energy.
Mr. Toshitaka Tsubouchi, President of Daikin Europe: “As a leading company in the European heat pump heating market, Daikin accepts the challenge of supporting the social transition from fossil fuel boilers to heat pumps. To this end, we are strengthening our product and service development capabilities and have now decided to build a new plant in Poland. This plant will have the largest capacity in the Daikin Europe group in terms of heat pump heating capacity. Through this investment, we aim to achieve the number 1 market share in each of the major countries.”
The production lines are for low-temperature, medium-temperature, high-temperature and monobloc heat pumps. The choice of an individual correct heat pump system for heating, hot water, cooling, the choice of types of heat pump convectors, water tanks and the ways of managing them by the users can be selected by special software that looks for the most reasonable solution according to the specific individual needs and budget. With the large-scale increase in production of heat pumps and the shortening of their logistics to the end customer through the continuous introduction of innovative strategies and technological solutions, Daikin Europe together with its business partners in individual countries, continue to be dedicated to caring for and protecting the quality of the air we breathe both indoors and with the drastic reduction of harmful emissions from the installed units - for the one outside in nature and the environment.
